Workshops Manager

Due to continued growth 2Excel Engineering, our maintenance and repair organisation (MRO) based in Hampshire are looking to appoint a Workshops Manager.

 

The role will require the post holder to be responsible for the effective leadership, management and control of all the workshops activities, personnel and resources in the Workshops Department to effectively support the Maintenance Department.

 

Candidates will have demonstrable expertise and experience of working within a Part 145 MRO setting.

 

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

 

·         Managing the Calibration, Composite, Decal, Metal, Paint and Upholstery Workshop teams and oversight of the NDT and Technical Services Team

·         Ensure that all work carried out in workshops are done so in a safe, effective and compliant manner

·         Overseeing liaison with customers regarding workshop tasks

·         Increasing the productivity and capability of the workshops.

 

The successful applicant will have the following skills, knowledge and experience:

 

·         Demonstrable experience of working in a Part 145 MRO setting

 

·         Current understanding of Part 145 technical, maintenance, licensing and engineering regulations

 

·         Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable

 

·         Experience of people and resource management

 

·         Excellent communication skills

 

·         Be a strong leader who is able to work under pressure

 

·         Able to build strong working relationships with internal teams and external customers

 

·         Flexible approach

 

·         Positive, can-do approach

 

·         Be highly organised and able to multi-task

 

In addition, applicants must be able to demonstrate the Right to Work in the UK and hold a valid UK Driving Licence.
